KALYMNOS

Kalymnos comes third in size in the Dodecanese islands and is located next to Kos island. It is a traditional and picturesque island with a population of 12,000. It's known worldwide for its spongefishing (called "the island of spongedivers") and rock climbing. It's also famous for its residents friendliness and authenticity.

Upon arrival into the main harbour of Kalymnos, a visitor meets the town of Pothia, where most of the residents live. In the main town there are shops, as well as the City Hall and various other services. There are small villages around the island where a visitor can go sightseeing and enjoy nature and the beautiful beaches. 

Kalymnos appeals mainly to individuals and families who want to relax as those who seek the nightlife and sports activities (diving, climbing)

Access to the island is available in the following ways:

- By airplane from Athens airport directly to Kalymnos airport.

- By airplane from Athens airport to Kos airport and a ferry from Mastihari to Kalymnos port.

- By ferry from Piraeus port to Kalymnos port.
