Kalymnos is an island with a rich cultural heritage. There are many places of interest to visit.

Kalymnos Archaeological Museum

It was established in 2009 and exhibits a unique collection of items dated back to 5000 B.C until today, giving a clear picture of Kalymnos history.

Kalymnos Maritime Museum

This museum was established in 1994 and presents the maritime tradition of Kalymnos, the history of sponge diving, sponges of various shopes and sizes and many ancient artifacts from shipwrecks.

Kalymnos Sea World Museum

This is a private museum, which has a unique collection of underwater finds, tools and sponge diving equipment.

The Traditional Kalymnian House

This is also a private folk museum with exhibits from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th. The collection includes traditional costumes and various other household goods from the past.
